Rachel Jones (she/her/hers) is the Director of Residence Life. In her role, she works with professional, graduate, and student staff to create an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment in the residence halls. As part of her position, Jones provides direct oversight to all residence life operations, supervises all professional staff members, coordinates departmental case management, assists in crisis response, and adjudicates conduct cases. Rachel serves on the College's Behavioral Intervention Team and Bias Incident Response Team.

A first-generation student, Rachel earned her undergraduate degree in history from Murray State University and a graduate degree from the University of South Dakota. She has worked at institutions throughout the country, including positions at schools in Kentucky, Alaska, South Dakota, Michigan, and Illinois. She has also served as the Regional Advisor to the Great Lakes Association of College and University Residence Halls. Rachel came to North Central in August 2022. Rachel is a trained Mental Health First Aid instructor and is passionate about advocating for the mental health of all students so everyone can thrive.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, listening to music, and watching basketball. You can always find candy in her office.
